Clarity Shot #38

  • Fresh flowers on my desk

  • Hot tea warming me up

  • An old-fashioned fountain pen

  • Jazzy music

  • Books & post-its

  • Colourful creative mess and a Rubik cube

  • My daughter’s glittery drawings

  • Some photographs from last summer

My little moments of magic, hidden in plain sight…
My everyday joys.
Unspectacular, but precious.

Little things that fill me up with smiles and possibilities.

Creating that space, rhythm and personal vibe that makes me want to imagine things that are not yet here… and jump into planning and bringing them to life.

… My anchors in the ambiguity of creating things that are not yet well-defined.
… My comfort with the possibility of messing it up.
… My reminders that life is unfolding right now in the glory of imperfect moments.

For a long time, I took them for granted.
I didn’t even see them… as life, projects, plans, “more important things” rushed me on.

They were too tiny and ordinary.
Unappreciated.

Life is still busy and rushed.
They are still tiny and ordinary.

But when I stop to look at my tiny moments of joy and ordinary magic… life takes on a different flavour.

Time slows down.
Smile blooms within.

So on days that feel particularly dark, overwhelming and bleak… how about searching for some tiny magic nearby?

This week’s Clarity Shot is all about making a simple list, of simple things that bring you joy in the here and now.

  1. Forget, for a moment, about struggles, gloomy weather and everything that’s not going the way you wish them to.

  2. Look around for what brings you a tiny rush of joy. The little things that you love in your life.

✨✨The good inside. The good outside.

The unappreciated magic waiting to warm up your heart ✨✨
